Instructions
  1. Make the Puppy Chow: Measure 9 cups of Chex cereal into a large bowl; set aside. In a medium bowl, microwave the 4 Tbsp butter, chocolate chips, and peanut butter on high in 30 second intervals, stirring after each, until fully melted. Stir in the vanilla extract. Pour the chocolate and peanut butter over the Chex cereal and gently mix until evenly coated. Transfer to a gallon-sized plastic bag. Add the powdered sugar. Seal the bag and shake until fully covered. Lay down a piece of wax or parchment paper and pour out the covered cereal. Let cool before moving on.
  2. Puppy Chow Marshmallow Treats: Line a 9″ x 13″ baking dish with parchment paper. Set aside. In a large pot, melt together the 6 Tbsp of butter and the 16 oz of marshmallows, stirring occasionally; it’ll take a while before all of the marshmallows have completely melted. Add in the cooled puppy chow and the mini marshmallows, holding back a small handful of each. Stir until fully coated in melted marshmallow mix. Pour into the prepared pan and use a rubber spatula to spread the mix out evenly. Quickly drop the remaining marshmallows and puppy chow over the top. Leave for a couple of hours to set before slicing. Store extras in an airtight container.
